Viral Gangnam Style
Gangnam Style, needs no further introduction. But those who
are not music man might need some background. It’s a single by South Korean
rapper PSY. The song was released on July 15, 2012, as the single of his sixth
album PSY 6. As of October 23, 2012, the music video has been viewed over 530
million times on YouTube and is the site’s third most watched video and most
watched K-pop video. "Gangnam Style" was recognized by Guinness Book
of World Record as the most "liked" video in YouTube history as the
most "liked" video in YouTube history.
This song has proved that music needs no language to understand or feel it. As I heard of it, Gangnam is a small village of South Korea and PSY here want to depict the positively motivated, always happy people of that village.
When for the first time I watched that video, I was rejoiced. This music video has the capacity to change one’s mood. It’s interesting and lively to watch what you want to do but is finding self-offending. It’s really fun to watch and I bet those who have watched had their try of Gangnam style.
If you go for the lyrics too, it’s awesome. Here below I have copied-pasted the lyrics (English version). The music is electro-mix, which is currently occupying the whole market. But I don’t think it was music or the lyrics that made it thaaaaat famous. For instance, I can provide you songs embedded with much deeper sensible lyrics than found in that. “Madness” by Muse is a too good electro-mix song(although like other electro-mix it’s not that funky).
