NEW YEAR, Procrastinator or Inspirer??
A New Year and a new source of motivation!!!
Well, like every year, 2068 B.S has finally come to an end. Like every beginning, the beginning of 2069 has officially been announced. It’s a New Year and there are always things that get piled up to begin at the New Year. The piled up things, here I am referring to is commonly known as “New Year’s Resolution”. Whether you do it or not would be a different case. New Year can be a reason for procrastination as well as it can be actuating. But why do we people wait for New Year to begin something, is a 9th wonder to me. (Why it’s a 9th wonder to me might be another wonder for you, but for right now let’s keep that a secret.)
Maybe a New Year brings new hope, great enthusiasm and fresh beginning.
For instance, whenever New Year starts, I confine myself in studying much better this time. Well I wouldn’t need New Year to explore on my studies. I would have adopted this habit as soon as I got into the class or from right now. But the mind itself waits for New Year. It brings me to a thought, whether I am procrastinating or is New Year acting as a source of inspiration?
I’ve got to admit, it is procrastination, since I am waiting for New Year but if I start to study properly after a new year and not just for a week, then it is indeed acting as a motivator.
Despite of the New Year, one should make a habit of doing it now. The procrastination fatigues you more than the effort it takes to do it. A completed task is fulfilling and energizing, an incomplete task drains energy. Doing it right now and living in the present is sign of positive attitude.
He slept beneath the moon
He basked beneath the sun
He lived a life of going to do
And died with nothing done
-James Albery
You must be having some resolutions in this year. Go for it!!! Just don’t give up on a week like I’ve been doing since time immemorial. Let it act as an inspirer, motivating you towards perfectionism. My Resolution in this year is to accelerate my study and stand as a topper. What’s yours??
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2069.
